Australia coverage moves to a new home

May 1, 2008

Cricinfo's 10-year partnership with ninemsn to run the Baggygreen website has ended, but the high-quality content of the pages - news, features, stats, scores and ball-by-ball commentary - remains on www.cricinfo.com.au.

The game's biggest website will continue to provide the most comprehensive coverage of cricket in Australia and around the world. "The changes will occur at a business level and won't alter the experience of our users," Tom Gleeson, the managing director of Cricinfo, said. "We might not be wearing the Baggy Green any more, but the same editorial principles that have made us the country's one-stop cricket site remain."

"Cricinfo has created and controlled editorial content of the site since 2004, so the only noticeable difference for cricket fans will be the new Cricinfo Australia branding. All Australian and international matches will continue to contain detailed reports, analysis, scoring and statistics and the domestic scene remains a strong focus."
