Leicestershire resumed on 178 for 6, needing 140 runs with four wickets remaining, and Claude Henderson and David Masters added 62 for the seventh wicket to further boost their chances. Jamie Dalrymple then struck twice to remove them both, and although Jerome Taylor and Ryan Cummins chipped away at the target, they were left with too much to do.
