Garon's Park is new ground built mid 90's with the intention of taking over Essex's Southend Cricket Week from Southchurch Park. The ground is formed from a semi-natuaral bowl with plenty of space for temporary seating and stands. The ground forms part of the Garon Park Leisure Complex along with a leisure centre and golf club. This purpose built cricket bowl provides great potential for some large crowds for Essex at Southend. The ground was used by local clubs until 2004 where Essex CCC invested a large amount of money to bring the county to play.
