Peterson delays India departure

Robin Peterson, the left-arm spinner, has been allowed to delay his departure to India by four days due to personal reasons. The squad is leaving for the three-Test trip on Friday but Peterson won't fly out until next Tuesday.

He was one of two changes made by South Africa to the Test squad following their tour of Bangladesh, where he claimed a career-best 5 for 33 in the second Test in Chittagong. Peterson came in for Johan Botha, the offspinner, while Charl Langeveldt was controversially preferred to Andre Nel.

Petersen will also be allowed to play in the MTN Domestic Championship final on Wednesday after his franchise, the Warriors, secured their place with Petersen claiming 7 for 27 in the semi-final. Langeveldt and JP Duminy will also be released by Cricket South Africa for the match if the Cape Cobras earn the second final slot.
