Taruwar Kohli was a No 3 batsman who had never opened before at a serious level of cricket before the Under-19 World Cup in Malaysia in 2008. He rose to the challenge and was a model of consistency, scoring 218 runs with three consecutive half-centuries that led India through the initial stages of their successful World Cup campaign.
