Women's World Cup qualifiers, Lahore

Pakistan women announce World Cup qualifier squad

Pakistan women have announced their 14-member squad for the World Cup qualifiers, which are in Lahore from November 17.

Urooj Mumtaz Khan will captain the side and Sajida Shah is vice-captain. Four reserves have also been named.

There are two qualifying spots up for grabs from the eight teams, with Pakistan facing stiff competition from South Africa and Ireland in particular.

Squad Urooj Mumtaz Khan (capt), Sajida Shah, Bismah Maroof, Sana Javed, Nain Abidi, Taskeen Qadeer, Sana Mir, Batool Fatima (wk), Asmavia Iqbal, Qanita Jalil, Sadia Yousuf, Sabahat Rasheed, Sumaiya Siddiqui, Naila Nazir.

Reserves Almas Akram, Arman Khan, Javeria Khan, Sabeen Abdul Samad.
